PRANKING Fishing Guides & Giant Salmon Breaks a Fishing Rod!

As many of you know, some crazy things can happen while Salmon Fishing! All sorts of mishaps and clutch moves can occur. When fishing with friends, it's also enjoyable to have a little fun, and maybe prank a few buddies along the way.

This video, filmed during the Fall Chinook fishery, featured Nick Popov running the show from his comfortable sled. A good crew of friends and anglers were out, looking for big salmon and big fun.

Salmon Smash-Fest

The bites can vary, when trolling for Chinook. Sometimes they slam down with reckless abandon, other times they just load up the rod, almost looking like a snag. A bit of both happened, as Marlin, Jordan and friends reeled in some gorgeous chromers fresh out of the Pacific Ocean. Quite a few fish were lost...and some seemed to be lost but came back (peep Jordan getting a fish to come back!)

Drags peeled and high-fives were exchanged. However, Lucas Holmgren hadn't landed one worthy of keeping yet. Luckily, the guys gave a hand-off after a screaming takedown. Lucas picked it up and started fighting the fish. He kept questioning the size, thinking it was maybe small or tangled. But Nick proclaimed "It's a tank!" and the fish was confirmed as a good one. But...Lucas made a serious mistake in getting the fish to the net...and, well - you'll have to see the result in the video below!

Pranking Fishing Guides!

When the bite slows down, anglers tend to get restless. Whether it's downing an entire bag of Sour Cream and Onion Chips, or playing Candy Crush on the cell phone...they're always up to something.

In this case, Jordan had an idea, originated from a friend named "Squirrel". Jordan explained it and started out by pranking some guides right out of the box. (No fishing trips were ruined in the making of this prank video). Lucas quickly caught on and brought some Ed-Bassmaster level gobble-dee gook to the mix. Looking like a goober, he made guides wonder who Nick had allowed onto his boat. But it made for some great footage, and everyone had a good laugh at the end of the day.

There's nothing like good fun and fishing when out with friends. We hope you enjoy the light atmosphere of this good-hearted video. And send this page to your friends!
